The Korea WEST program is a joint initiative of the Republic of Korea and the U.S. Department of State. Since its inception this program has given students and young professionals the opportunity to enrich their academic studies and advance their careers through the Korea WEST.
Korea WEST is a professional development program providing top South Korean university students and young professionals the opportunity to Work, complete an intensive English Study program, and experience American way of life and culture through immersion and independent Travel.
As part of Partner Programs, Korea WEST participants come to the United States for up to 18 months for a personalized exchange experience, which includes English language training and placement in professional internships at U.S. companies, and the opportunity to travel across the United States before returning home.
Our Parnter programs enables participants to explore future careers and develop the lifelong personal and professional skills needed to be successful in today’s global marketplace. The Korea WEST program has three distinct phases:
- Formal English language instruction and cultural training (up to five months)
- Career-focused internship with U.S. host company (between six to 12 months)
- Independent travel (up to 30 days following internship)
